JPMorgan Chase, the parent company of Chase Bank, has a new initiative – to make it easier for those with criminal records to be considered for employment. The company recently announced that it will no longer ask applicants to reveal if they have a criminal past during the interviewing process.

JPMorgan Chase reported that in 2018, 10% of their total new hires, 2,100 people, had criminal backgrounds. Their histories consisted generally of disorderly conducts, DUIs, and other low-level offenses. Additionally, the applicants involved were hired for entry-level positions.
